Elena Douglas

Executive Officer

Elena Pasquini Douglas is an economist with a lifelong interest in social impact and education. She is leading the campaign for 500 Schools to improve 500 schools in 50 disadvantaged communities across Australia. Elena is a leading education system reformer and has worked with more than 300 schools on school improvement initiatives that have had powerful results, including Catalyst (ACT/NSW), EDvance (WA), and Flourishing Learners West (VIC). Elena has worked with philanthropic families to help them develop create a legacy from their wealth. As one of the founders of the Centre for Social Impact at UWA Business School she has taught philanthropy and social investment since 2009. Elena writes on education and economics for The Australian Financial Review and The Australian. She was the founding CEO of Advance – Global Australians in New York from 2002-2007 and is a Vincent Fairfax Fellow and serves on the Senior Advisory Board of Deloitte Access Economics.

Anne Goodall

Design Lead

Anne Goodall is a service design leader with 25 years’ experience in user-centred design, evaluation and stakeholder engagement. As Design Lead, she works with education and school improvement specialists to scale practical school improvement strategies and programs for system leaders, principals and teachers. Anne has worked in government, not-for-profit and university roles, and leadership roles with the social impact consultancy Knowledge Society, with a track record of driving practice change across education, health, housing and community services.

Stacey Rowe

School Improvement Lead

Stacey has extensive experience guiding school leaders in comprehensive school improvement and has worked with more than 100 schools since 2020 in the highly successful Fogarty EDvance program. Her passion for supporting schools to achieve their school improvement goals was born when she made a mid-career move into teaching at an outer metropolitan secondary school as part of the Teach for Australia Leadership Development Program where as an avid user of explicit teaching in the classroom she saw the powerful difference it made to student outcomes and lives. Stacey brings to her school improvement her prior experience as a corporate HR executive where she worked on talent and people management.

Tanya de Nicola

Marketing & Communications Manager

Tanya is a marketing and communications executive partnering with the 500 Schools team to shape the initiative's corporate communications and brand identity. With over 20 years of experience across agencies and in-house creative roles, she brings deep expertise in visual communications, brand strategy, and content design – spanning the education, healthcare, government and the arts sector. Tanya holds a Bachelor of Psychology from Murdoch University and a Bachelor of Arts (Design) from Curtin University.
