
Elena Douglas

Elena Pasquini Douglas is an economist with a lifelong interest in social impact and education. She is leading the campaign for 500 Schools to improve 500 schools in 50 disadvantaged communities across Australia.
Elena is a leading education system reformer and has worked with more than 300 schools on school improvement initiatives that have had powerful results, including Catalyst (ACT/NSW), EDvance (WA), and Flourishing Learners West (VIC).
Elena is a Director of Knowledge Society and serves on the Advisory Board of Deloitte Access Economics. She writes on education and economics for The Australian Financial Review and The Australian. Elena was one of the founders of the Centre for Social Impact at UWA Business School where she has taught philanthropy and social investment there since 2009. She was the founding CEO of Advance – Global Australians in New York from 2002-2007 and is a Vincent Fairfax Fellow.
